Barranquilla is the fourth largest city in Colombia, with a population of 1,095,425 inhabitants.

Tía opened its first store doors in December 1940. The second store was opened in 1960 and was closed in 1990. The third store was opened in 1992, and the fourth store was opened in 1994.
